Warm rosy-mauve bell shaped 2-2.5"(5-6cm) flowers in April and May, followed by attractive seed heads. Mature height 8-10' (2.4-3m).Hybridized by Fretwell in England in the mid nineteen eighties. This variety seems to be slightly larger and more vigorous than other alpinas. Pruning group A.
